Important Updates to Hummingbird Cleaning Services Terms & Payment Policies


Effective January 16, 2025


We’ve made updates to our Terms of Service and Payment Policies to better serve our clients, reflect new service offerings, and stay compliant with applicable laws. These updates will go into effect 10 days from today, on January 16, 2025.


By continuing to use Hummingbird Cleaning Services, you agree to abide by the updated Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, both of which detail your rights and responsibilities. Please take a moment to review these changes carefully.


🔄 Summary of Key Changes:

Service & Payment Terms

  • Service fees may change without notice to reflect rising costs of supplies, platform fees, and additional cleaning requests.

  • Late fees will be $25 (previously $50) and apply after 3 days of non-payment. A maximum of 2 late fees will be charged before cleanings are suspended or canceled and may be referred to collections.

  • Invoices must be paid either by the last scheduled cleaning of the month or at the time of service.

  • Advance payment discount: Clients who prepay for services will now receive a 20% discount.


Updated Pricing

  • Pricing for 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom homes has changed. Please refer to the updated pricing sheet located under the “Important Info” tab on our homepage.


📆 Scheduling & Cancellation Policy

  • Same-day cancellations will incur a $35 fee.

  • Rescheduling within the same month will now include a $15 fee.

  • Monthly cancellations: Clients canceling previously scheduled cleanings within the same month will be charged 50% of the cleaning cost (rescheduling within the same month is encouraged to avoid this fee).


🧼 Service Tiers & Add-On Options

Hummingbird Cleaning Services now offers multiple Service Tiers and optional Add-Ons, which may vary in:

  • Pricing

  • Features

  • Frequency

  • Eligibility and usage terms

We reserve the right to adjust the pricing or terms of any service tier. You’ll receive advance notice of price changes, but we cannot notify clients individually of changes in taxes or third-party fees. To avoid being charged at the new rate, please cancel or adjust your services before the next billing cycle, per our cancellation policy.


💳 Payment Methods

To use our services, you must provide one or more valid payment methods. By doing so, you:

  • Confirm you are authorized to use the payment method.

  • Agree to have applicable service fees, taxes, and charges billed automatically.

  • Allow our processor to retrieve updated card information as needed (e.g., new expiration date).

  • Acknowledge that failure to maintain current payment details may result in service interruption or cancellation.


🎁 Gift Cards & Promotions

  • We are excited to announce the introduction of gift cards as a new payment method!

  • We may occasionally offer free trials or limited-time promotional discounts to both new and existing clients. Trial periods and promotional terms will vary and may be subject to eligibility requirements.
