Remembering to appreciate our Home cleaners

Updated: Feb 11

It's important to look beyond the concept of "that's what I'm paying for," and instead consider what you're receiving from the service and what the person has done to perform it.

Cleaning has easily become one of the most important industries in the world. However, most of the people undertaking this important work are invisible to the public so it seems. Everyday talented, hard working cleaning professionals are available to ensure your facility and homes are ready to go for the next day.

We all like to feel valued and appreciated

Take time to stop and think about our cleaners and recognize the hard work that they do, often under the radar of normal working hours and often out of sight. Professional cleaners work night and day including weekends to keep your working and living environments

disinfected and sanitized.

Kindness - the science behind it

  • Science supports that there are all kinds of benefits acclimated with the act of giving.

  • According to an article published by the Association for Psychological Science, taking care of others not only boosts health and well-being, but it also appears to increase positive emotions and reduce stress in givers.

  • Acts of kindness increase levels of certain brain neurotransmitters and hormones associated with feeling good.

  • Kindness can also boost the body's immune response and are associated with greater self-esteem and less depression.

  • There are many other ways to express gratitude, and tipping is one of them.

Ending Notes from the editor

I just wanted to show the appreciation I have to my team for the hard work given over the past 7 years in business. Our biggest priority at Hummingbird cleaning services is customer satisfaction. Without your business we cleaners would not have a steady job. However, we must remember we all have a job to do and want to feel respected and of course appreciated for the hard work that is put in. Going the extra mile to acknowledge a job well done has become especially important in the pandemic. Nonetheless, we will always continue giving you our very best!!

Tipping also goes beyond an act of civility; it the becomes an act of appreciation.
