Warehouse, Restroom & Breakroom Cleaning Protocol

🏢 Common Areas

  • Dusting & Surface Cleaning

    • Dust all light fixtures and ceiling fans

    • Dust overhead pipes, ductwork, and vents

    • Dust and wipe down door frames and hardware

    • Wipe down all horizontal surfaces (desks, tables, shelving)

    • Dust windowsills, ledges, and blinds

    • Clean and polish entry doors and glass panels


  • Sanitizing High-Touch Points

    • Sanitize handrails, grab bars, and light switches

    • Disinfect water fountains and bottle fillers

    • Wipe and disinfect telephones, computer keyboards, and shared office equipment

    • Sanitize all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, push bars, and control panels


  • Trash & Debris Removal

    • Collect and dispose of all trash throughout the facility

    • Replace liners in all waste bins

    • Inspect and clean designated trash/recycling stations


  • Floors & Entry Points

    • Vacuum all carpeted areas and mats

    • Sweep and damp mop hard surface floors

    • Clean walkways, steps, landings, and loading docks

    • Remove debris and ensure clear access in high-traffic areas


  • Maintenance Checks

    • Inspect for and report leaks, mold, and mildew

    • Check for pest issues or areas needing repair

    • Restock cleaning and sanitation supplies where applicable


🚻 Restrooms

  • Toilets & Urinals

    • Clean and disinfect inside and out

    • Wipe and disinfect flush handles and partitions


  • Sinks & Countertops

    • Wipe and disinfect all sinks and faucets

    • Shine chrome fixtures

    • Sanitize countertops and backsplash areas


  • General Surfaces

    • Clean and polish mirrors

    • Sanitize stall doors, locks, and hand dryers

    • Dust baseboards and corners


  • Floors & Waste

    • Sweep and mop floors with disinfectant solution

    • Empty all trash bins and replace liners

    • Restock paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, and sanitizer


Breakrooms / Employee Lounge

  • Food Prep Areas

    • Wipe and sanitize countertops, tables, and food prep surfaces

    • Clean and disinfect inside and outside of microwave

    • Clean exterior of refrigerator and inspect interior for expired items (with permission)

    • Clean sink, polish faucet, and sanitize surrounding surfaces


  • Appliances

    • Wipe and disinfect handles on microwave, fridge, and vending machines

    • Clean and sanitize coffee machines and toasters (exterior only unless instructed)


  • Trash & Dishes

    • Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners

    • Load or run dishwasher (if applicable) or handwash any left-behind dishes (if permitted)


  • Floors & Furniture

    • Sweep and mop floors or vacuum as needed

    • Wipe down and disinfect chairs, stools, and lunch tables

    • Clean touchpoints: light switches, door handles, and cabinet pulls


  • Restocking

    • Refill paper towels, napkins, hand soap, dish soap, and any other communal items (if stocked)
