Airbnb Cleaning Checklist

1.) Sweep, vacuum and mop

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.

• We vacuum all floors in every room. This includes stairs, carpeted rooms, hardwood, and tile floors. We remove furniture cushions and vacuum up crumbs, pet hair, and dust.

2.) Clean Kitchen

• Wash and put away any dishes left out

• Wipe out stove and stove top

• Check other appliances are empty, clean and functional

• Check fridge remove anything left behind by guests, wipe any spills

• Wipe down all kitchen surfaces

• Clean and polish sink, taps and other hardware.

• Empty trash cans

3.) Clean Bathroom

• Sanitize and clean toilet

• Shine sink

• Squeegee mirrors

• Spot clean shower: depending on how long your guests stayed, you may only need to wipe over the shower for most cleans and give it a deeper clean periodically.

• Scrub glass shower screen or squeegee.

4.) Change linen & towels

• Strip used linen and wash

• Bed sheets, towels, bathmats etc. All replace with fresh set.

5.) Re-stock consumables

What you choose to leave for your guests is totally up to you, but normally this would include:

• tea, coffee, paper towel, trash can liners, dish soap, facial tissues, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, body wash.

6.) Dust, Tidy, Reset

• We dust each surface of your home to reduce allergens. This includes mantles, picture frames, light fixtures, fan blades, window sills, blinds, wardrobes, entertainment centers, dressers, side tables, and more.

• Make sure all lights are working

• Tidy area and plump up cushions, straighten rugs, fix décor items, leave out guest information brochure, reset blinds and curtains

"Even if you have mastered your change/reset cleaning routine, a common mistake we see Airbnb hosts make is to neglect the ‘bigger picture’ presentation of their properties. Some tasks, such as cobwebbing, window cleaning and carpet steam cleaning may not need to be done every time, but they definitely can build up over time and take away from the presentation of your Airbnb. So, make a plan to vacuum out your window tracks, spot clean your walls and dust those blinds!"
